The Columbia County Juvenile Department is committed to the protection of the community and rehabilitation of youth who come to our attention for delinquent acts. We do this by providing assessment, detention, probation and counseling services for all youth accused of or adjudicated for criminal behavior. We also assist the court in various dependency matters in which the Department of Human Services does not get involved. We work jointly with local and state partners; most specifically: OYA, Commission on Children and Families, child Welfare, Mental Health and Education to develop intervention and diversion programs to assist our clients. the Juvenile Department is staffed with a highly skilled group of Juvenile Probation Officers who specialize in working with delinquent youth ans their families. We value safety, respect and accountability for all of our youth and families.
