The Marion County Juvenile Department receives juvenile delinquency referrals from law
enforcement on youth who are alleged to have committed a criminal act. Our formal process addresses youth ages 12 to 18, through diversion, Formal Accountability Agreements, and supervised probation. In addition, law enforcement and schools refer youth ages twelve and under, for Family Support Services. These youth are experiencing serious difficulties and are at risk of entering the Juvenile Justice System.

The Mission of the Marion County Juvenile Department is to improve public safety by
working with parents and the community to provide youth accountability and opportunities for positive change. To accomplish our mission, we apply the principles of restorative justice, build on the strengths of youth and families, and dedicate ourselves to excellence in public service.
